Ranking
Pepperstone ranks number X out of Y brokers on TraderGuide’s ranking list. The ranking list is based on the cost of trading with Pepperstone, in the 16 most traded instruments globally.

What you need to know about Pepperstone

Pepperstone is an Australian broker with offices and licences all over the world. They are a major player in the FX and CFD industry, with reports of more than 600,000 clients globally. They offer high leverage in the jurisdictions where it is allowed.

What do we like about Pepperstone?

Pepperstone has a good reputation. They rank well on the TraderGuide global ranking list. They have a range platforms such as their own home-grown platform (we quite like its simplicity), MT4 and MT5, TradingView, and CTrader. They also offer Copy Trading. Essentially Pepperstone has a platform for every preference.

What concerns us about Pepperstone?

You need to know that Pepperstone is a variable spread broker. Most brokers are. It means they like to point out how tight their Bid Ask spreads are. However, when you sit and observe their platform, even though it is a great platform, you will at times see Forex pairs Bid Ask spreads widen. During our research of Pepperstone we frequently saw the Bid Ask on FX pairs oscilate significantly. For example, Dollar Yen at times had a Bid Ask of 0.7, only to move wider to 1.10.

Pepperstone may charge you a fee for bank withdrawels, but there are no charges on credit and debit cards. Pepperstone does offer various kinds of account openings, which offers tigher Bid Ask spreads, but you will then be charged commission instead. So you might as well open a standard account.

Should you trade with Pepperstone?

Pepperstone ranks well on our “Bid Ask spread” list. If you open an account with Pepperstone, you will be in the company of many other traders, who have opted to trade with a solid broker with a wide offering of trading platforms, high leverage, and reasonble trading spreads.

Although not the cheapest broker, it makes up for it in its product offering and its
overall services.
